Background
The Thought Behind The Design
The holy month returns once again to the Muslim world, with it being a crucial part of the religious and cultural calendar. Not just a time of fasting, it is a time of purity, generosity, love and humility.
The Thought Behind The Design
The moon is a perennial symbol of the Muslim Holy Month, with its sighting marking the beginning and end. In conjunction with this idea, this design ties in the ongoing construction progress of Bahrain Bay, as well marking the importance of culture and heritage to the project. Just as the cranes and workmen are bringing a new urban centre to life, so are we bringing a deep respect for, and commitment to, the religious beliefs of Bahrain to the project, as symbolized by the moon being placed in frame by the crane.
