Our latest outdoor concept takes Bahrain Bay’s supersize billboard and extends it still further for dramatic effect.
In 2010 Bahrain will proudly play host to the first Formula 1 race of the season. The Formula 1 Gulf Air Bahrain Grand Prix will take place in Sakhir on 12-14 March.
The thought behind the design
The billboard takes the iconic chequered flag symbol, signalling the celebratory finish of the Formula 1 race and extends into scaffolding with life-size 3D workmen.
The striking red background with white type reflects the national colours and creates a bold offset with the black and white graphic flag. A semi transparent printed gauze seamlessly links the chequered flag to the bespoke scaffolding that has been purpose built to mimic the flag.
The overall design represents the continual development work happening at Bahrain Bay. Although we are a long way away from final completion, our team continue to be inspired by the finish line.
